Jolie's Newest Trick - Before & After

Jolie learned a new trick. Or I suppose we let her try it out at long last. She's pretty good at it... and quite fond of the happy results! Check out these two videos. We'll call them "Before" and "After." :)

After:

PS. Please disregard the box of junk in the background (first video). We still have quite a bit of unpacking left to do...

Jolie + Rice Cereal = Love
{How is it that she's old enough for this already???}

Naked Party

Growing up, when my dad would go out of town for some conference or another, my mom and sisters and I would have what we called Bra and Panty Parties. We were too young for any real bras, but we had those little belly-shirt tank types that came with our nightgowns (remember those?). We would watch a movie, eat popcorn, and just hang out in our undies. I remember these parties fondly. They were lots of fun and made us girls feel a little bit like women.

Well, it seems the Anderson household is headed in a similar direction. We've yet to make it a tradition, but the other day- we did have a Naked Party. Mostly we were all roasting hot from playing outside, so as soon as we walked in the house, we stripped down to our undies- and the kids their diapers. We danced around and were silly- playing up our Naked Party for James' sake (yes, that's what we tell ourselves). It was lots of fun... very silly and definitely tons cooler than a Clothed Party. ;)

Above is a picture of our super-silly event. (Don't worry; Derek and I are not in it.)

Side Note: We girls had a Bra and Panty Party when we were old enough to wear real bras... and let me tell you, it was not nearly as much fun. It was more like a We're-So-Awkward-and-Uncomfortable-and-Covering-Ourselves-As-Much-As-Possible Party. :) I wouldn't recommend it for pre-teens or teenagers for that reason. But for itty bitties, it's a grand ol' time!

Sibling Giggles

I could watch this video everyday, and it would still make me laugh. So could James. Really, it's just that funny.

PS#1. This was going on during dinner last week (hm- a couple of weeks ago, maybe... on the 1st). It was absolutely unprompted and unsolicited. It was, however, encouraged- as I ran to grab the camera as quickly as I could.

PS#2. A bit of James-anese translation:
1. Towards the beginning, after my request to make his sister laugh again- "I'm almost done wiff my sammich."
2. In the end, amid giggles- "Wha-did me DOed?" (pronounced "dude," meaning past of "do"... lol)

I love, love, love how much they love each other.

liberated

Oh, Glorious Internet-

How did I ever live without you?

No, seriously. How?

It has been just over a week now that we've been internet-less, and MY GOSH! It's been the hardest week EVER! I am officially hooked. I should probably be ashamed by this realization, but mostly I am just determined to never be without internet again. And now that my sweet love (we'll call him "Netty") is back, I am feeling oh. so. liberated!

Welcome back, Netty. We've missed you.

And since I know you all have been just DYING to see pictures of our kids, ourselves, or our new place- I'll upload something special RIGHT NOW. That's right. It's an ALL CAPS DAY. :)

Our new place... along with one hottie patottie husband. Enjoy.
